Kenya Leads Africa in Startup Funding, Attracting Global Investors with $437 Million Raised.


Kenya has topped Africa in startup funding, raising $437 million, which constitutes 31% of total funds raised on the continent, according to Africa: The Big Deal.


This surge underscores the country's appeal to global investors, driven by its strategic advantages and supportive policies. In contrast, Nigeria has raised $218 million, while South Africa recorded its lowest funding since 2019, with only $125 million. Together, Kenya and Egypt now account for 58% of total African startup investments.
